Payment, Refund & Cancellation Policies
This Payment, Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") forms part of the Service & Event Agreement between Duncan Rim & Rum ("Service Provider") and the Client. This Policy outlines all financial terms and conditions applicable to booked services.
Deposit Requirement
A non-refundable deposit equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total service fee is required to secure and confirm all event bookings.
No date, time, or services are reserved until the deposit has been received and cleared.
Final Payment Terms
The remaining balance of the total service fee must be paid in full no later than one (1) business day prior to the scheduled event date.
If the event occurs on a weekend or statutory holiday, full payment must be received and cleared no later than the preceding Friday.
Accepted Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods include electronic transfer (E-Transfer), cash, or other approved methods as specified by Duncan Rim & Rum.
All payments must be successfully received and verified prior to service.
Non-Payment & Cancellation for Non-Compliance
Failure to provide full payment by the required deadline shall be deemed a material breach of contract.
In such cases, Duncan Rim & Rum reserves the right to immediately cancel all services without notice and without refund of any amounts previously paid.
No Refund Policy
All deposits and payments made to Duncan Rim & Rum are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to client cancellation, changes in event plans, venue issues, guest attendance, weather conditions, or personal emergencies.
Client-Initiated Cancellations
In the event of cancellation by the Client for any reason, all amounts paid shall be forfeited and retained by Duncan Rim & Rum as liquidated damages for administrative costs, lost business, and reserved service capacity.
Service Provider Cancellations
In the unlikely event that Duncan Rim & Rum must cancel services due to circumstances within its reasonable control, the Client shall be entitled to a refund of payments made, excluding the deposit, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
No additional compensation shall be owed.
Chargebacks & Disputed Payments
The Client agrees not to initiate chargebacks, payment disputes, or reversals without first providing Duncan Rim & Rum the opportunity to resolve the matter.
Unauthorized chargebacks may result in legal recovery action and administrative fees.
9. Late Payments & Administrative Fees
Late payments may be subject to administrative fees, service suspension, or cancellation at the sole discretion of Duncan Rim & Rum.
10. Compliance with British Columbia Law
This Policy is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and applicable Canadian consumer protection legislation.
Nothing in this Policy limits statutory rights where prohibited by law.
11. Entire Policy & Amendments
This Policy forms part of the binding Service & Event Agreement. Amendments must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
12. Client Acknowledgment
By signing the Service & Event Agreement, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Payment, Refund & Cancellation Policy.
The Client acknowledges that all payments are non-refundable and that failure to comply with payment deadlines will result in cancellation without refund.
